Dragons of Nightmare

The Emerald Dream was entrusted to Ysera for safekeeping, and the mightiest of her green dragon brood were assigned to stand watch over four portals that connected directly to Azeroth. But even before the Cataclysm, these dragons began to show signs of corruption. Now, the path to the Nightmare’s core runs through the dragon’s lair.

Quick Tips

Ysondre shares health with Emeriss, Lethon, and Taerar. She begins the fight alongside the nightmare of one of her former cohorts.

When Ysondre reaches 70% health remaining, the nightmare takes to the skies and a new one emerges from a nearby portal.

Upon reaching 40% health remaining, the nightmare dragon in the air lands and the one on the ground takes to the air.

(Mythic) Ysondre is accompanied by Emeriss, Lethon, and Taerar at all times.


Damage Dealers

  • Try not to stand directly behind the dragons so as to not be struck by Tail Lash.
  • Stand within the Nightmare Bloom to prevent Dread Horrors from spawning.
  • Interrupt the cast of Corruption from Essence of Corruption



  • Swap dragons with other tank at 7 stacks of the Mark
  • Face the dragons away allies or they will get hit by Corrupted Breath.

Main abilities

Corrupted Breath

A frontal cone breath which also deals a large amount of magic damage to anyone in front of the dragon.

Mark of the nightmare

Each dragon will periodically debuff__ all players within 45 yds with their own unique mark__.
This mark deals ticking damage over 35 seconds and stacks.
If a player receive 10 stacks of the same mark they will be stunned for 30 seconds.

Call defiled spirit

(Ysondre) a large purple circle will spawn on 2 random ranged player and root them. The circle will explode shortly afterwards dealing a large amount of magic damage to anyone within.

Nightmare blast

(Ysondre) launches a purble ball at a players location. Players hit will be knocked back and take some damage. The Nightmare blast will then spawn a nightmare bloom

Nightmare Bloom

(Ysondre) A flower lasting 1 minute. Anyone within the flower will take damage every 3 second. If nobody is within the flower a Dread Horror will spawn every 3 seconds.

Shades of taerar

(Taerar) will spawn 2 shade version of himself. These have less health and deals less damage but they still have Nightmare Breath.

Seeping Fog

(Taerar) will spawn multiple patches of seeping fog that will slowly drift around. Any player that touches the fog will be put to sleep for 6 second and will take ticking damage.

Bellowing Roar

(Taerar)(Heroic-Mythic) whilst he is in flight, he will fear all players for 3 seconds every 45 seconds. 6 seconds cast time

Volatile infection

(Emeriss) applies a debuff lasting 1.5 minutes which deals damage to the player and anyone within 10 yards of them every 3 seconds.

Essence of corruption

(Emeriss) will periodically spawn adds nearby. These adds cast corruption which deals huge raid wide damage. The spell must be interrupted

Corruption of the dream

(Emeriss)(Heroic-Mythic) Whilst Emeriss is in flight, she will buff her allies, causing them to spawn a mushroom when they die who explodes after 3 seconds (Corrupted Burst) dealing heavy damage to all players within 4 yds.


(Lethon) A series of nightmare fall from above dealing damage to players withing the impact area (10 yds). Target random players who are within Mark of Lethon range.

Siphon spirit

(Lethon) Pulls a soul fragment (Spirit Shade) out of players, drawing them towards Lethon. If a fragment reaches Leathon it will heal him for a large amount (Dark offering).

Shadow burst

(Lethon) (Heroic/Mythic) Whilst Lethon is in flight he will mark 2 random targets every 15 seconds. After 10 seconds they will apply a debuff to the 3 nearest players. This dot deals ticking damage and slows the players by 10% for 21 secs and it stacks.
